Where can I buy a ticket?
From 30 September, you can buy tickets to visit the permanent exhibition. These are not yet tickets for the opening weekend. You will only be able to buy those from 17 November.
Two buildings, one museum
Vesalius Museum is housed in two historic buildings. You will start and end your visit in Theatrum, the old anatomical lecture theatre. Don’t confuse it with the older anatomical theatre further along the street.
Theatrum is where you will find reception, the museum shop and the last room in your tour of the museum. Your visit to the permanent exhibition starts in the Laboratory, formerly the Pathology Institute.
Have you already bought a ticket online? Then you can go directly to the Laboratory.
Can I only buy a ticket online?
Until the museum officially opens, you can only buy tickets online. After that, we look forward to welcoming you at our reception.
When does the museum open?
We will be welcoming our first visitors during the opening weekend on 12 and 13 December. From Wednesday 16 December, the museum will be open during its regular opening hours.
The museum is currently still under construction and is not yet open to the public.
Museum shop
End your visit in our museum shop next to reception in Theatrum. You will find a carefully selected range of unique merchandising and interesting books there.
Practical info
- You do not need a museum ticket to visit the shop.
- Its opening hours are the same as the museum’s: from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 17:00.
